The below
Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between The National Water Company
(NWC) and the members of Qatarati and is foundation of the Qatarati Rewards
Program (Qatarati). It is the responsibility of the member to read and
understand them.
While
subscribing as an NWC consumer/residential and has an active water connection
you are automatically enrolled into the program and you may earn Qatarati
points for qualified activities with NWC. All activities that you participate
in Qatarati including earning and redemption of Points for rewards will be
deemed as acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Terms and
Conditions are effective through the period of your Qatarati membership and NWC
reserves the right to change these at any time.
Defintions
Qatarati Program: The rewards program run by National Water Company pursuant to which members earn reward Points by reducing water consumption and then redeeming the earned Points for different rewards.
Member: A customer who is enrolled as a member of Qatarati program.
Customer: An individual who is a customer of National Water Company with an active water meter connection and falls under the consumer/residential segment.
Qatarati Points: (referred to hereinafter as Points) The Points accrued by a program member based on certain behavior.
Reward: Specified goods or services to be provided by National Water Company or a partner of the program to a customer in exchange of Points.
Membership
2.1 Enrolment
All NWC consumer/residential and has an active
water connection will be automatically enrolled into the program
All
NWC customers who have an active water connection and are
individual/residential only and are responsible for paying the financial dues.
All
NWC customers with complete customer information will be automatically enrolled
to the Qatarati program and may be able to start benefiting from the program’s
reward scheme.
Members
have to accept the terms and conditions to activate their accounts.
The
customer does not have the right to transfer his membership in Qatarati, or
rent it to others or from the subcontractor. In the event of requesting
transferring the water meter to another person, his membership will be
cancelled from the date of the transfer request and he loses enjoyment of the
benefits of the program and he is not entitled to ask NWC for any compensation.
Your
Qatarati membership starts from the date NWC activates your new service automatically
in our systems.
Qatarati
membership is free of charge.
Points Validity
Qatarati Points expire 24 months after the date they were earned. Every Point has an expiry period of 24 Months starting from the date of issuance.
Every Bonus points has an expiry period of 24 Months starting from the date of issuance.
Points will be expired on the last day of the 24th month after issuance on the basis of (First In First Out).
Qatarati Points cannot be re-credited once they have expired and have been removed from a member’s account.
Redeeming Qatarati Points
Rewards
from NWC and all participating merchants in Qatarati program are redeemed on
NWC’s Website and Mobile App.
You
may redeem your Qatarati Points for discounts / full payments at partners to
purchase a product or avail a service.
Member
is responsible for all redemptions made, irrespective of the channel used.
Redeemed
Qatarati Points cannot be canceled once issued, however redemption through
Qatarati partners may be canceled or refunded depending on the internal policy
of the partner.
If
a member intends to purchase product/ avail service at a partner for a lower
amount than the face value of the reward, no change would be given back to the
Concerned Customer.
Cancellation of Membership
Your
membership in Qatarati is subject to the terms and conditions, the decisions
and directives of the related regulations. NWC reserves the right to terminate
your membership immediately upon any breach of the terms. In addition,
cancellation of membership can occur if you in any way misuse NWC services or Qatarati
program membership through the following matters:
In the event of a member passes away, all the Qatarati Points accumulated before such an unfortunate incidence will be cancelled immediately.
Once
your Qatarati account has been terminated, it cannot be reinstated under any
circumstance. If by any case you are invited to re-enrol, you will be allocated
a new membership account.
If
a Qatarati customer faces legal action with NWC Credit Control, the standard
NWC Credit Control process will be applicable; and in case of closure of a
service, the customer will lose his Qatarati Points.
Qatarati Merchant Partners
NWC
may change or terminate Qatarati partners or modify partner agreements as it
deems necessary from time to time and without notice to members.
NWC
cannot guarantee that any participating partner will continue to participate in
Qatarati program nor can it guarantee the continued availability of any
particular reward. Participating partners may at any time withdraw from the
program or change the terms and conditions of the supply of products and
services.
Earning
of Points at Qatarati partners’ is subject to the conditions of earning and the
services & products listed by the partners’.
Each
time you redeem for a reward at the Qatarati partners for a service/product,
the balance count of Qatarati points will be adjusted to your balance.
During
Partner run promotion/ sales/ offer dates, honoring of redemptions and earnings
transactions at partners are solely up to the partners’ discretion and not controlled
by NWC.
Fraud
If
fraud is suspected, your account will be monitored.
After
further monitoring, if the activity is deemed fraudulent, your account will be
blocked.
Depending
on the severity of the fraud and the damage, NWC may take action as per our
standard Terms and Conditions.
If
needed, Qatarati partners will assume joint responsibility for fraud
investigation and will be responsible if the fraud is on their part or by their
staff.
NWC
reserves the right to suspend Qatarati accounts to complete a full
investigation if there is any suspicion of fraudulent activity. Upon completion
of the investigation, NWC reserves the right to withhold the allocation of any
Qatarati Points. This will be handled on a case by case basis.
Access to Qatarati
The access to NWC Website/ App, for Qatarati information and to conduct transactions follows the general Terms & Conditions of NWC.
The Qatarati webpages on Website/ App may include links to websites and/or services owned and/or operated by participating partners and/or third parties. These are provided for your convenience and NWC is not responsible for, and do not give any warranties regarding such websites and are not responsible for the content of such websites.
Due to the nature of the Internet, NWC does not promise full and error free operation of the Website/App at all times.
Audits
NWC
reserves the right to audit any and all Qatarati accounts in the program at any
time and without notice to the member to ensure compliance with the program rules.
In
the event of revelation of discrepancies or violations during an audit, the
processing of Qatarati rewards or statement of account may be delayed until the
discrepancies are resolved to the satisfaction of NWC.
Changes or Termination of the Qatarati Rewards Program
NWC
reserves the right to modify these Qatarati Terms & Conditions in whole or
in part, at any time without notice and without the member being entitled to
any compensation. However, we will make all reasonable efforts to give you prior
notice of the changes. These Terms and Conditions supersede all previously
published terms and conditions.
As
the owner of the program, NWC has the right to terminate or suspend the
Qatarati Rewards Program at any time. We will make all reasonable efforts to
give you prior notice of the termination or suspension of the Qatarati Rewards
Program.
Law and Jurisdiction
These
Terms and Conditions and the relationship between NWC and each Qatarati member
are governed by Saudi law as applied in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By joining
the program, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
